I want to buy a hood, but the shop is nearly empty! When will you have more products in stock?

We do shop releases every 4-6 weeks - be sure to sign up to the mailing list or join our Discord server for announcements on when shop releases will be. Because all of our hoods are individually handmade in-house at the Grunge Bunny studio, we only stock hoods that have been made when we've got a good bunch of them ready. Make sure you're prepared for a release by setting an alarm, and we advise signing into Paypal right before the shop drop, so you can check out and secure your dream hood as quickly as possible!

Where are you based? Do you ship worldwide?

Grunge Bunny is based in London, UK and ships almost everywhere! If you're looking to ship to a country that's not an option on the address section, please reach out to us and we'll check if we can ship to you.

I've placed an order, but the tracking hasn't updated for a couple of days. Should I be worried?

This is normal! Tracking updates vary dependent on the shipping service used, and some shipments don't receive many updates - this seems to depend on the country or state it's shipping to.
We are only a small team, so sometimes there are a couple of days between us printing out your label and adding tracking to your order, and the order updating as it's received in the shipping system. We always try our best to get your order out as quickly as we can!

I'm based in the USA. Will I have to pay an import tariff? Do international orders have a customs fee added?

As of the 5th April 2025, a 10% import tariff will be applied to orders from the UK being imported to the US. This will be charged to you via customs when you receive your order. For orders in the USA and other countries outside of the United Kingdom, customs fees may vary and must be paid by the customer. We recommend checking import fees for your country and state before placing your order so you know what to expect when you receive your parcel!

How old do I have to be to order?

Grunge Bunny only sells to over 18s. All payments are processed via Paypal, which is only available to over 18s. We don't sell to minors - this is an adults-only space.

How much do your hoods cost?

Hoods start at £180 for Pup and Hyena premades, £190 for Bunny premades, and Custom Orders start at £250, price dependent on design and choices of ears. More realistic, particularly complex designs, or those with a lot of piercings cost a little extra due to the extra hours spent designing and making them.

For example, a simple design with a few simple elements to the markings like eyebrow dots, dark ear tips and a white muzzle would likely be between £300-350. Alternatively, a complex design with a lot of hand drawn graphic elements and markings, a gradient background colour and several sets of ears with piercings could run more in the £600-£750 range.

How do you receive payments?

All payments are processed through Paypal using their checkout system on the website. This makes things really straightforward - currency exchange is already built into the checkout. Please note that all payments are received in UK Pounds (GBP/£) and payments received from non-UK accounts may incur additional charges and fees for international transfers and currency exchange. These international payment fees are entirely controlled by your bank and Paypal, and are not taken or handled by Grunge Bunny.

I tried to order a hood in your latest drop, but didn't receive an order confirmation, but the money has already come out of my account! What happened?

Sometimes when there's multiple people trying to buy a hood at the same time, the item will go out of stock whilst you're checking out but Paypal will still process the payment. Don't worry! The money will return back to your account through Paypal automatically. If the money doesn't return to your account within 48 hours, we recommend contacting Paypal through their website.

I'm in a hurry, can you do rush orders or queue jumps?

The best thing to do is ask! The worst we can say is no - all rush requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How do I order a custom hood from you?

An email will go out via the Mailing List when customs are due to open, so be sure to join it! When customs are open, you can submit your custom request through the Custom Orders page. Be sure to check out the Custom Design Guide for detailed information on what we tend to look for in a custom order submission!

We tend to get a lot of submissions for custom orders, with only limited slots to be able to create them in a reasonable time, so we have to go through the difficult process of picking and choosing from submissions. We tend to pick designs that we think will work well as a GB hood, with a good mix of simpler and more complex designs, those with filled out custom order templates, and artistic liberty orders.

Do you sell premade hoods?

Yes, premade hoods can be found in the shop section of this website. An email is sent out via the mailing list (sign up at the bottom of any of the website pages!) beforehand with information of when and where premade hoods will be listed for sale, including a full stocklist. We also share this on our Discord server, which you can find the link to on the Social Media page.

Which size do I need?

Grunge Bunny hoods come in three sizes - you can find the sizing chart on any hood listing! You can also check the Order Information page for the sizing chart and how to measure. We updated our sizing range after many requests to add a smaller size, so what was previously the 'Small' has now become a 'Medium' as of October 2024.

If your measurements are outside of the sizing chart ranges, you're welcome to reach out to us to see if we can accommodate!

Do Grunge Bunny Hoods have interchangeable ears?

Yes! The ears, muzzle and lower jaw attach with snaps and can be swapped out with different shapes and designs in seconds. All parts of the Pup and Hyena hoods are interchangeable between those species. Bunny hood parts can only be swapped out with Bunny hood parts, not other species!

Do you do fox/cat/pony/bear/pig/other species hoods?

We have plans to create all of these! Any new hood designs and styles will be announced via the Mailing List. We currently offer Pup, Hyena and Bunny hoods in various styles and colours, with interchangeable ears.

What are your hoods made from?

Grunge Bunny hoods are made from premium quality printed neoprene with marine-grade brass or stainless steel hardware, and are designed and entirely handmade with love in the UK. They secure with a silky black webbing tri-point harness with three areas of adjustability and a sturdy, ergonomic curved buckle for closure - no velcro to get caught in your hair! As standard, all hoods are free of animal products, latex or nickel. They have secure snaps for a removable muzzle and jaw and interchangeable ear shapes and styles for maximum expression and ease of play. They are incredibly soft, lightweight and flexible, and the half-hood style ensures plenty of ventilation and breathability.

How do I care for my hood?

We recommend hand washing your hood in the sink or bath with a delicate laundry detergent and luke-warm water. Remove any ring or charm-type piercings before washing! Avoid using fabric softener, fabric conditioner or other treatments. Don't wring, stretch or scrub the neoprene whilst washing, as this can change the shape or damage the fabric. Make sure you thoroughly towel dry the hood after wetting, focusing especially on the metal parts. Hang to dry in a well ventilated area by the O ring on the head harness, ensuring the hood is hanging symmetrically. This can also help to reduce the visibility of any creases that have emerged over time or from incorrect storage. We do not recommend prolonged exposure to water due to the hood's metal components. Although the best care has been taken to ensure hardware won't rust, if a hood is exposed to too much moisture and not dried out properly after, it is the nature of metal hardware that it can break down over time. Avoid exposing your hood to direct sunlight, high temperatures, saltwater, chlorine, or other harsh chemicals.

When not in use, your hood is best stored on a mannequin head, or in it's original storage layout in the box it was shipped in. Alternatively, you can hang it in a cool, dark place from the O ring. Ensure that bunny ears are stored detached from the hood and in their protective sleeves! A detailed care sheet will be included with your order.

Do you ship in discreet packaging?

Yes, our packaging is discreet and uses entirely either recycled, recyclable, or compostable materials. Hoods and other large items are shipped in a grey recycled plastic mailer, and smaller items are shipped in a white envelope or padded mailer. The customs form on international orders states 'neoprene costume accessory' or similar. There is no mention of Grunge Bunny anywhere on the packaging!

Is Grunge Bunny cruelty-free/vegan?

All Grunge Bunny gear, accessories, and associated items are free of any animal testing or animal products. We are a cruelty-free business!

I have allergies. Should I be concerned?

All Grunge Bunny gear is created in a smoke-free space, and is free of latex, wool and any animal byproducts. We do have a small dog, so although she doesn't come near the hoods themselves, if you have an animal allergy we suggest giving your hood a rinse and hang to dry before wearing it for the first time. Whilst we do our best to use stainless steel or brass hardware, some nonstandard hardware may contain nickel, pewter, or other metals.

Does Grunge Bunny support any charities?

Yes! We aim to support charities every year - we have previously donated to the Trevor Project through our Pride Ears collection, supported events in LGBTQIA+ spaces with raffle prizes, and collaborated with Animagi on a charity auction project to fundraise for the Terrence Higgins Trust. We have plans to get involved with plenty more charity projects in the future!
